Adopt Raven a Black - with White Great Pyrenees dog in Louisville, KY (40561958)

Location:
Louisville, KY
Description:

Update on Raven ( AKA Sassy Pants) a BEAUTIFUL 4 month old Great Pyr mix (My sister had a DNA test and it came back 98% Great Pyr and 2% German Shepherd)"I am the last of my mom Leai's litter that was born on January 4, 2024 as all of my siblings have found their forever homes! I enjoy helping with household chores like sweeping and mopping as well surfing the internet when my foster mom lets me sit on her lap and look up dog toys on Amazon. I am SASSY with a capital "S". I might be a little small for my age and breed but don't let my size fool you as I am the boss of everyone! I have tons of energy and I am super affectionate and would love to fall asleep in your arms every night. I would be the perfect addition to any family that wants a love bug and a helper around the house. I am crate trained and sleep through the night and I am actively working with my foster mom on potty training and leash walking so I can be the BEST PUP EVER!Her foster mom says "Don't let her smaller size fool you (she is the runt of the litter). She runs around knocking into her brothers and sisters and wrestling with them until she gets tired. Tons of energy! Super affectionate and in the morning demands to be held so she can fall back asleep in your arms. She is also very helpful during cleanup time when she sits on the mop while you try to clean. She'd be the perfect addition to any family that wants a love bug and a helper around the house".Update on Raven from her foster mom at 8 weeks old on Tuesday and weighs in at just 7 lbs. She is SASSY with a capital "S". Don't let her smaller size fool (she is the runt of the litter). She runs around knocking into her brothers and sisters and wrestling with them until she gets tired. Tons of energy! Super affectionate and in the morning demands to be held so she can fall back asleep in your arms. She is also very helpful during cleanup time when she sits on the mop while you try to clean. She'd be the perfect addition to any family that wants a love bug and a helper around the house. When they are ready to go to their forever families, Leia's puppies will be looking for a home that abides by the GRRAND puppy guidelines: Puppies are a lot of work, and if you are interested in a GRRAND puppy and have children, PLEASE SEE THE ADOPTION FAQs section of the website for more detailed info. GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying, and here are 2 big ones- A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard... meaning direct access to the yard from the homeā€¦ so this means no apartments or condos. As with all puppies, they will need a home where someone is home most of the time as they need to be fed regularly, and let to go outside consistently and constantly ALL DAY LONG so potty training can be a breeze. They will be looking for a home with a fenced in yard and a family with LOTS of time and patience to socialize and work with a puppy so they can grow up to be good pups! ***Exercise and direction are a must as a tired puppy is a good puppy!! It is a lot of fun, but it is a lot of work, and if you don't have the time, an active and non-stop playful puppy may not be for you! Families must understand there needs to be constant supervision as children of all ages need to learn to respect an animal and puppies, and need to be taught boundaries. We are excited these pups will get to know what a nice soft bed, in a warm and cozy home with a loving family is all about! Applicants should also expect Leia's puppies to possibly be big, and you should be prepared for that sweet and independent Great Pyrenees personality... to know the Great Pyr breed is to love them, but they are not Goldens, and we suggest you do some research on this beautiful breed before applying! He will need a secure above ground fenced yard as Great Pyrs love to be in their yard to protect and patrol, and this happens best when they are in a secure space! We will update as we learn more about these cuties, but if you are interested in meeting them, they are in a foster home waiting for you! Please fill out an application at GRRAND.org##1942381##
