Paws was surrendered by his family who were unable to give him the time and attention he needs and deserves. Although he had started learning all about potty training, it was unfortunately another basic they did not have time to teach him. Paws is a handsome Doberman mix of close to 60 pounds, so he will probably not be a lap dog for most people. However, he is delighted to spend time hanging out with you on the couch or anywhere else. Paws is good with cats, dogs, children, men and women, so that's a big plus! Just keep in mind he is large size, so may not be suitable around toddlers or people unsteady on their feet. Paws is not unruly, though. He is definitely a gentle giant. He was, sadly, heartworm positive on arrival. However, he has been treated by our veterinarian and is now ready to go home with you. Email XXXX@hsscg.org for an appointment to meet him or stop by Tuesday through Saturday 11 to 4. Paws is neutered, microchipped and current on core vaccines. Paws for a moment and get to know him!
